Twink Williams Burns is a Researcher on the Research Services team, primarily conducting research for the Harvard Slavery Remembrance Project and supporting the 10 Million Names team. Her expertise is in African American genealogy, generational Americans with ancestors who were enslavers, Oklahoma and Freedmen of the Five Tribes, and Mississippi. Before becoming a genealogical researcher, she spent 18 years as an educator. She has used her education background to present live genealogy programming at venues including the Clark Art Museum, the Williamstown Historical Museum, and local access television. She will complete her Masters degree in Education at Harvard University in 2025, and holds a Bachelors from Williams College.
