Peggy Carpenter Genealogist has a B.A. in Family History from Brigham Young University. She works with the team in Research & Library Services. She is on-site in Salt Lake City, Utah working with genealogists by accessing the records and material found in the Family Search Library.
She has experience with old German Gothic script and Latin records. Her specialties include Baden, Germany parish records, 17th-19th century genealogy, and Midwestern States. Experienced in consulting with patrons at the Family Search Library International Reference desk and a contributor to the Oldenburg, Germany Gazetteer on the FamilySearch Wiki and to the German Immigrants in American Church Records series. She transcribed the Roy Chapman Diaries in preparation for online publication and converted microfilm images of genealogical books to PDF images in preparation to publish on the FamilySearch book site.
