Cy Britt

Director of Heritage Tours

Cy joined the American Ancestors staff in the fall of 2018 as the organization’s first Director of Heritage Tours. In this role, she serves as the lead staff person to conceptualize, plan, and execute all aspects of in-depth customized travel programs and destination-based educational experiences for American Ancestors members and friends. All of the programs align with the American Ancestors mission, and serve to educate, inspire, and connect others with family history.

Cy comes to American Ancestors with extensive program management experience and a deep understanding of meaningful member cultivation and engagement. Prior to her appointment as Director, she launched and expanded the ’GBH Educational Foundation travel program and alumnae travel program at Wellesley College, successfully directing varied and far reaching experiences. As a consultant, she independently developed and offered such in-depth educational adventures as “People-to-People Educational Exchanges to Cuba,” “Cultural Passages through Turkey, and “Berlin: Historic Treasures and Modern Marvels” before consulting on American Ancestors tours led by Curt DiCamillo and Robert Charles Anderson. Cy is a graduate of Tufts University and Duke University.
