Anjelica is a senior researcher on the 10 Million Names team, which is dedicated to recovering the names of the estimated ten million men, women, and children of African descent who were enslaved in pre- and post-colonial America. She also works with the research staff to answer chat questions, phone calls, and emails from patrons.
She holds a MA in Public History and certificate in digital humanities from Northeastern and a BA in journalism from Ohio University. She was a reporter in New York for four years before starting her graduate degree. Prior to joining American Ancestors, she worked with the National Parks of Boston where she worked on digital public history projects, including researching the service and lives of Black Patriots in the Revolutionary War.
