Renise graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a BA in Anthropology and a minor in Japanese Studies. While there, she worked to expand diversity and inclusion within the Amherst community through event management as an Event Planner and Office Manager for the Center of Multicultural Advancement and Student Success at UMass. She later earned a PG Dip in Social Anthropology from the University of Manchester in the U.K. where she focused on the cultural impact of history erasure and ethnic tourism in Europe and America. She brings a strong focus in multicultural understanding and inclusion through interests in precolonial histories, oral traditions, art, and historical dress.
