Maggie Hastings

Education & Programming Assistant

Maggie Hastings graduated from Brandeis University with a BA in History and a double minor in Theater and East Asian Studies. Her senior thesis, “From Tea Houses to Turandot: National Identity in Chinese Theater Through the 20th Century” was awarded the Patrick Thomas Campbell Award for best thesis in the History Department. While at Brandeis, she worked at both the Rose Art Museum and the Gender and Sexuality Center, where she worked to expand the knowledge of the student body about these institutions.  Her interest in history is broad, but she is very focused on refocusing history through the perspectives of those who often didn’t get a voice- women, BIPOC, LGBTQ individuals, and others.
