Pre-Tour To-Dos

American Ancestors Participant Information and Research Interests Form (Required for all)

Please fill out this Participant Information and Research Interests Form by May 1, 2024. Your answers on this form will assist our genealogists in preparing for your consultations!

If you have any questions about filling out this form, please contact Education and Programming Manager, Kathleen Mackenzie at kathleen.mackenzie@nehgs.org.

PRONI Registration Form

Please click here to download PRONI's Registration Form. Once you've completed the form, please save it and email it to PRONIEvents@communities-ni.gov.uk. Please complete this by May 31, 2024.

Travel To-Dos

  1. Double-check (and triple-check!) that your passport is up to date for our June travel.
  2. Investigate your cell phone company's options for international travel. Many allow you to add-on international service for a designated period of time so that your phone will work in Belfast.
  3. Consider taking out British pounds in advance. You can also use ATMs on arrival in Belfast. (Note that Northern Ireland is on the pound and NOT the Euro. However, if you plan to travel on your own to the Republic of Ireland, you will need Euros there.)
  4. Consider investigating your credit card's fees for foreign transactions and notifying them of your travel
  5. Make sure that you have photo ID to present at PRONI.
  6. Consider reviewing the 600 bus schedule to and from the airport.
